And, frightful it is. As finals wrapped up at my university, I headed back in my hometown of Minneapolis. This means family, a time for relaxation and COLD. Yep, that’s right folks. We’re talking negative temperatures for the next couple of weeks. This time of year also means holiday parties galore. So, how does one dress for these occasions without freezing to death? I came across this Fashionista and loved the warm, trendy outfit immediately.
This outfit is perfect for a cold day with the chunky black sweater and warm socks. However, the details in this outfit make it fit for any festive occasion. The black sweater provides warmth, but, it also has an interesting lace up feature in the front that makes it unique. This provides contrast against the black button-up denim skirt she tucks her sweater into. The shoes are the most interesting (and also my favorite) part of this Fashionista’s look. Black booties are the craze everywhere these days as they are a comfy and winter-friendly substitute to high heels. These black leather booties have their own interesting flair to them with the fringe details on the side of the shoes. This adds a touch of Bohemian style to an otherwise edgy look. To further shield her legs from the cold winds, she scrunches these black socks. To top off the look, she adds a pair of cool tortoise-shell colored Ray Ban sunglasses.
It may be freezing but this Fashionista rocks a warm and cozy outfit with unique details making it fit for any holiday occasion. The weather may be frightful, but this Fashionista’s outfit sure isn’t.
