Hello Fashionistas! My name is Ally, and I’m currently a sophomore at Tulane University, majoring in communications and minoring in Spanish and English. Not only do I love all things fashion and beauty, but I also have a huge passion for writing and am so excited to see what my first semester as a Style Guru brings!
I’ve always liked clothes and shopping, but it wasn’t until this past summer that I discovered my passion for the fashion industry as a whole. I love using my style to express my mood and personality, so I don’t think I can clearly define how I dress. I also love gaining inspiration from the streets of New Orleans, the high-fashion runways, and those around me. Style, to me, can be anything you want it to be; there’s no right or wrong way to dress. As design icon Iris Apfel said, “Fashion you can buy, but style you possess.”
I would say that my style is pretty simple, but it’s definitely still evolving. I love pairing neutral colors with something a little trendy. My style can range from classic and sophisticated to edgy to girly and fun. It really just depends on the day!
For this look, I paired some cool faux leather jeans with a cozy light blue sweater. The bell sleeves on this sweater are very on trend and also keep me warm while I’m back home in the cold! I threw on some short black boots (my go-to shoe) and simple silver jewelry to complete the look.
