Every new semester usually begins with at least attempting to dress nice for class during syllabus week. However, as soon as that second week hits, everyone is back to wearing leggings and Uggs whilst trying to hide from the cold and their 8 am classes. I for one am all about comfort, which is why I practically live in my Lululemon leggings. But, who says those lazy days can’t be cute?
My style ranges drastically from bohemian to glamorous, and everything in between. But, despite the variety in my wardrobe, I still find myself looking to be as comfortable as possible, since I’m always running around trying to fit a million projects into a 24-hour time span. However, I have come to find that there are incredibly simple ways to amp up your look without having to put in too much effort.
In this look, I started with a basic pair of black leggings. They are easy and can be found in everyone’s closet. Then, for the wow factor of the outfit, I chose a soft purple, quilted bomber jacket that is too gorgeous for words! A bomber jacket is a perfect piece to add to your wardrobe because with all the different styles, colors, and embellishments available, it’s easy to find one that perfectly describes you. I’m a girly-girl at heart, so light purple was an easy choice. In addition, bomber jackets are fitted, warm, and best of all, comfortable. So you can walk into class after throwing on this jacket over a tank top and you’ll still look chic and put-together.
Also, for those second day or just plain bad hair days, a hat is the obvious choice. I added a taupe suede baseball cap that depicts an athleisure feel while doing its job at the same time. Suede is extremely trendy right now and adding it to an accessory is a fun way to take part without over doing it. I love mixing textures, and the hat and bomber jacket really play off of each other well.
Finally, for shoes I decided to go with a classic pair of white Nike shoes. They match with everything and really complete the look. All together, the outfit screams athleisure and comfort, but in a cute and sleek way!
