Hello there, my fellow fashion addicts! My name is Maria Dominguez, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the Guru gang this spring semester.
I come from the sunshine state of Florida, land of the University of Florida, where I happen to study. In my junior year of public relations, I have spotted many Fashionistas around campus, and I am excited to share some of their sensational styles with you.
When it comes to fashion, I don’t have a go-to style. I love to follow trends and recreate them to fit my style. In my opinion, style and personality go together. That is why, for me, an outfit is perfect if it makes me feel comfortable and, most importantly, self-confident.
Talking about confidence, it is something that I emphasize a lot. We all need to remember how flawless each one of us is. There’s no need for having the “perfect” body or outfit to share our radiance with the world. The best beauty weapons are our personality and self-assurance.
For this article, I wanted to wear a classic look and spice it up a little with a rock ‘n’ roll style.
I’m dressed in a button-up shirt with a pullover on top, rolling up my sleeves to give it a fresher look. For the bottom, I have a black corduroy skirt, to make it a little edgier.
For the accessories, I have a crossbody purse. I have to admit, I’m a huge fan of that type of bag because they are super comfy and versatile. Besides that, they look great with pretty much everything.
