Hey fellow Fashionistas! My name is Arielle. I am currently a freshman at Kent State University and I am majoring in fashion merchandising. This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista and so far it seems like an amazing opportunity. I love the way people can express themselves through fashion by showcasing their own personality.
As I started high school, I started to take my own creativity into the different things I wanted to wear. Some of the looks I made when I was younger I probably wouldn’t wear now, but I love how fashion can evolve . I feel that as my fashion sense changes, I’m also changing into the person I want to be. Fashion is an amazing way to express your personality, that’s why I love it so much. I believe it’s empowering to be able to wear what you want. There are so many different types of looks you can create with different pieces of clothing and there’s no right way to do it. You are able to show the world that you can make fashion into anything you want.
My personal style always changes throughout the years, especially when there’s new trends. I personally just want to be able to wear different things. I don’t have a particular set style, but I would say that it’s more street style and edgy. One of my favorite fashion inspirations is Rihanna, because I love the fact that she wears whatever she wants and makes it look so effortless and fashionable.
For the look I chose, I’m wearing a striped blue bodycon dress with a light blue jean jacket that I thrifted. I wanted to spice up my look, so I chose to throw on a black fur vest over the jean jacket. For my kicks, I wore black thigh high boots, which have been a big trend throughout the year. Lastly of course, for accessories I wore a gold choker necklace with large gold hoop earrings.
This look to me is very effortless and fashionable by using some accent pieces. I hope you guys like this look as much I as do and find inspiration from it. For all updates about me, make sure to follow my Instagram. I would love to interact with my fellow Fashionistas!
