Hey everybody! My name is Ashley Moor and I am currently a junior at University of Maryland studying journalism and fashion. As a journalism and fashion student, I get the best of both worlds fashion-wise. As a journalism student, I get to be cheeky and carefree, and as a fashion student I can take this attitude to the next level.
When I’m not studying, I love to thrift, travel and go to shows. Music has always been a great inspiration for me. Certain icons like Grace Slick and Prince have pushed the envelope in such a cool way, and have inspired me to take my looks even further. I enjoy going to shows and looking around at all of the powerful females dressed to kill. Also, let me say—I am OBSESSED with thrifting. I am proud to say that most of my current wardrobe consists of hand-me-downs from my mom (she was so fashionable in the ’80s!) and perfect pieces that I found in some awesome thrift stores.
For my spread, I decided to wear my favorite dress that I snagged from a boutique in Los Angeles called Miracle Eye. This is a brand that I feel embodies all of the qualities that I look for when shopping for the perfect outfit—edgy, vintage-inspired, and totally unique. To complete the look, I added a statement choker and simple heels to keep the attention on the statement dress.
