Hello lovelies! Another semester means another Style Guru Bio. It just occurred to me, but each bio I’ve written for CollegeFashionista I’ve had a new hair color. I’m unpredictable in every other aspect of my life, so I wouldn’t expect my hair be any different.
I originally put together this outfit for New Year’s Eve, but that was before my plans changed to a party where there was a giant game of Twister. So this get-up was definitely a no-go. However, I wasn’t mad because that just took the stress of putting together a look off of another day. I was in a rush to get out the door this morning, so it was perfect to have this outfit ready to go. I just threw it on, put a beanie on my head and left. Sometimes in my free time I’ll put together various looks just to give future-me some extra time to sleep in the morning.
No matter what time of year, I am the queen of avoiding wearing actual pants. Most people swear off dresses in the winter time because it’s too cold but I have plenty of solutions around this. In this case, I paired my maxi dress with a mock-turtle neck underneath, leather jacket, and little booties. Other things you can do with other skirts or dresses would be to wear thick tights, thigh high socks or both. There are very few days I’m in the mood to restrict myself with skinny jeans so I will pull out all the measures against them.
