The first snowfall is always filled with excitement. That moment when you jump out of bed and pull back your blinds to see a gorgeous winter wonderland outside is one of the best experiences possible. The memories start to rush back of all the snowmen you made as a kid and all the times you went whizzing down the hills with your sled. The first snowfall is always filled with anticipation of many more snowfalls to come. The snow is just starting to fall, which means that our winter outfits must be prepared.
When looking outside your window, you have to decide whether to blend in with the snow or stand out against it. This Fashionista chose to make a bold statement by contrasting the white, cold, and fluffy snow with a big warm black sweater. It might be bold, but the contrast is what makes it so in style. The mostly dark colors make the Fashionista look tall and ready to conquer the snow. It isn’t going to stop her from getting to class.
The layered necklace in this outfit is the center focus. It drags attention away from the big collar to the uniqueness of the symmetry of necklace. This is a good way to make your outfit a little different than the everyday class look. The tights also tie the look together. When the snow starts to fall, we find that bare legs are not an option, so tights are always a cute and fashionable option. Tights also go great with booties that are the same color. These booties in particular are great because the tights are black to match the shoes. Neither item stands out too much, making her legs look long and lean.
The plaid skirt goes along very well with this outfit. The whole look is mainly black, so the hint of red adds interest to the outfit as a whole. I chose to highlight this Fashionista because of her ability to not let the snow stop her from strutting her stuff. She chose to not leave her dorm wearing big, bulky clothes to keep her warm. Instead, she decided to layer on a turtleneck with a petite coat to keep her just warm enough while still looking fashion forward. She is a Fashionista who is ready to conquer any winter wonderland.
