Hey guys! My name is Stephanie, and this is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista! I’m a senior at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), and I will graduate this May with a degree in both marketing and fashion merchandising.
When I’m not in class, you can find me running all around New York City. My favorite hobby is to go exploring. Some of my best finds include Madison Square Park, Jack’s Wife Frieda, Black Tap, and Cafeteria. I’m a huge foodie and love a good stroll through Central Park on a nice day.
My dream is to pursue writing and editing in fashion magazines like Vogue and InStyle. Studying at FIT has been an incredible opportunity because I’ve been able to observe the most stylish students in America, and learn from industry professionals. I like to call my personal style “New York City chic.” It’s a mix of trendy and preppy that’s overall unique and out of the box. I love a good thrift store outfit, and I like to be one of a kind which is probably from my only child syndrome.
For this look, I wore a basic white long sleeve top with a pair of blue jeans and a sleeveless suede trench coat. Cuffing your jeans adds a pop of pizzazz, and my favorite chunky brown booties are perfect to bring out the beautiful neutral tones of this outfit. Don’t forget to accessorize! I’m wearing a multicolored stone necklace and diamond stud earrings.
