Whoever decided that white was off limits after Labor Day was clearly not that qualified. Although this one has made its way into the fashion rule hall of fame, I can’t help but question its validity. In a season centered around sparkly snowscapes and twinkling lights, I am hard pressed to find a color that looks better that white. The only issue is that breaking the rules isn’t always so easy, but thankfully for us, a daring few have taken on the challenge.
In the beginning, it could feel weird going out in white jeans in January and throwing on white sneakers instead of sticking with your trusty old black boots this time of year. After all, black has mastered the art of the coverup, while one mistake can ruin a white outfit for good. The trick is to mix and match white with your other favorite winter colors.
