Hey homies! My name is Morgan, and I am pumped to be a Style Guru this semester! I am a freshman at the big blue school, the University of Kentucky (GO CATS). I am double majoring in merchandising apparel and textiles and integrated strategic communications. Although I love my Kentucky campus, I am honored to call Atlanta, Georgia, home.
I love anything and everything involving people and clothes. I have always been a pretty big people person and have shown a major interest in fashion since I was 4 years old. My mom used to have to lock me out of my room because I would go in and make a mess of my room while trying on outfit after outfit. I insisted on changing outfits for every event from breakfast to dinner. Needless to say, I was most definitely a Preschool trend-setter.
I don’t think that I necessarily have one certain style. I would like to think that I’m pretty “style fluid,” if you will. I love layering, neutral colors, and altering trendy looks to fit my liking. Black and green are my favorite colors to wear. Mixed metals are my jam, and I love anything that looks a little different.
In this outfit, I am sporting my favorite pair of green tights paired with black rain booties. I layered a simple camel colored turtleneck sweater with the best deal of my life—this denim overall-romper gem that I found at a thrift shop for $7 (what a steal!) I added some gold and silver toned jewelry to bring the look together—sporting my mixed metals, of course.
I can’t wait to spot some stylish people this semester around campus! Hopefully I’ll be able to provide some style inspiration to everyone.
