Hello lovelies! My name is Karina Francyne, and this will be my first semester as an intern for CollegeFashionista! I was born and raised in the Bay Area, but now reside in Southern California. I currently attend California State University – Fullerton, where I major in business administration.
My main goal for this year is to indulge in what I love to do—create content that reflects my personal style and life experiences, and share it with the people I love! I attended a private school for nine years of my adolescent life, which meant wearing the same uniform for all those years. Within those years, I craved to express myself through fashion and beauty, but I didn’t have the chance to. This is why fashion plays such a big role in my life today, since I had experienced my life without the ability to represent my true self. I have recently discovered my love for photography, especially photography of streetwear and urban whereabouts. On our free days, my boyfriend and I love to explore the city and take in the beauty of the architecture and bustling city life.
I would describe my personal style as minimal and classic, with a hint of edge. This look is all about being comfortable but still staying true to that personal aesthetic. It has been my go to look for busy days where I want to stay comfortable but stay fashionable. I styled these wide leg culottes with a ribbed turtleneck, further layered with a suede moto jacket to keep warm. I also added these Puma creepers to keep the look modern and cozy. The fall and winter seasons are when I feel like I can express my style to it’s full potential, so it will be a fun and rewarding challenge to incorporate my style into the upcoming spring and summer seasons!
