STYLE GURU STYLE: Treating Weekdays like the Weekend

With classes beginning and the new year setting in, life for many college students feels somewhat hectic. Personally, I have been packing, unpacking, traveling, and changing my location so frequently that I haven’t had a chance to fully settle in at Ohio University. For these busy life moments, I like to keep my outfits simple and comfortable while still fashion-forward.

There’s nothing more timeless and versatile, in my opinion, than a graphic T-shirt. Whether jumping into an Uber, meeting a friend for coffee, or going out with the girls, it’s truly the easiest way to express oneself. My favorites include band T-shirts, university graphics, or catchy slogans that make people turn for that double take. Places I usually find the most unique graphic T-shirts include Pacsun and Express.

For this look, I chose my favorite heathered gray “weekend vibes” T-shirt and kept Louis the Childs “Weekend” bumping through my headphones on repeat to help me get through those endless weeks when everyday feels like a Monday. A flawless addition to any graphic T-shirt is a pair skinny jeans and Converse. I went with simple gray Chuck Taylor’s but I enjoy my high tops now and again. I pulled it all together with a long denim jacket and my favorite pair of American Eagle jeans.

Too add extra comfort level to this look, I often tend to toss my hair in a tousled ponytail and hide my puffy, jetlagged morning eyes with some stylish sunglasses.

While getting back into the swing of things, traveling to new places, or beginning a new journey, I hope you throw on a graphic T-shirt and remember not to take things too seriously.
