My name is Shanelle Pierre, but my friends call me Nelle! I am currently a senior at the Fashion Institute of Technology. I am majoring in advertising and marketing communications. Honestly, I’m just living my life and have a vast array of interests. I’d say right now I’m really into black and white photography, but that probably will change.
I am beyond excited to be working with this awesome team and all my fellow Style Gurus this semester! It’s awesome being able to vibe and connect with people through fashion. Fashion has always been something I loved. I was always allowed to express myself, however I pleased, from a young age. My mom still has a picture of me wearing a pink boa to school when I was nine. I have been indecisive about what I specifically want to do in fashion, I’ve literally wanted to be everything from a designer to a model. I just look at it like this, fashion is always changing, and so am I.
I love layering and neutral colors! You can never go wrong with naturals and tones that complement the skin and body. In this outfit I have a pleated white skirt, and my go-to winter must have: a black turtle neck! I kept it pretty simple, I paired this outfit with light accessories and my favorite jacket, you can’t go wrong with a hint of fur! On my feet, I have a pair of black chunky heeled leather boots with a gold accent.
Just remember that at the end of the day the only person stopping your rad style from shining is you!
