What’s up fellow fashion and beauty lovers! My name is Ryleigh Campbell, and I attend Clemson University as a sophomore majoring in marketing. I have always been very interested in fashion and beauty growing up, especially because my mom was in the beauty industry. This is my first internship, along with my first semester, with CollegeFashionista, and I cannot wait to see what is in store throughout this journey! I have a very broad range of style so you will probably find almost anything throughout my articles this semester.
My style has changed a lot over the past few years, and I believe I finally got a sense of what I really love now that I’m in college. I started out as scene/goth in middle school, went preppy in my early years of high school, started dressing bohemian my senior year, and now that I’m in college, I can say my style is a mixture of all of those. I’m very open when it comes to putting pieces together, and I love trying out new trends. I tend to always grab heels, a leather or suede item, and then a pattern when I’m putting together my outfits. My favorite clothing item(s) I have in my closest would probably be between my black leather jacket or my thigh-high, gray suede boots. These items really go with almost any outfit, and I always get compliments when I wear either of them. Unfortunately, comfort is not always a factor in my outfit choosing, but I’ll pay the price for a bomb outfit.
For this look I am wearing a Pink Floyd T-shirt, hand-me-down military jacket, and asymmetrical shorts paired with some black booties and a black satchel. Keeping the colors neutral and then adding a pattern can really spice up a simple outfit! Take away the booties and add sneakers, and you have the perfect daytime outfit as well. This represents my style very well because it has some edge along with classics throughout the outfit.
Stay tuned for more articles to come featuring some of the best styles across the Clemson campus!
