WHAT TO WEAR: Arizona “Winter”

Although I like to argue the perception that Arizona is a state that is covered in cacti and plagued with constant warm weather, I can still appreciate the joke that is winter in most of the state. We have mountains and snow too, I promise!

I found a Fashionista that captured perfectly what to wear in the breezy, cool Tucson winter weather. Let’s get something straight first and foremost; sunglasses in Arizona are a must. I feel blind leaving the house without them, and this Fashionista’s oversize tortoise shell pair are the perfect statement. A jeweled tone off-the-shoulder, three-quarter sleeve top embodies the fall like conditions. She keeps her long hair down to cover her shoulders. Black, high-waisted jeans and a leather jacket give it a rocker look and the black booties dress the whole outfit up.

The edgy feel from the tight-fitting, dark clothing brings back faint memories of a rebellious Sandra Dee with her curled locks and off-the-shoulder top. This Fashionista looks ready to take on any Danny Zuko that comes her way or just ready to grab a bite and shop up and down University Blvd.

Surprisingly, layering is just as important in warmer climates because there is usually a dramatic difference in temperature inside and outside. One of the two is always significantly colder whether it be the chilly breeze from the wind or just the AC. So with that in mind, keep the light layers and off the shoulder pieces coming. If your local winter weather calls for fall fashion then so be it.
