Neutrals, neutrals, and oh look! Neutrals. This fall and winter season I have been loving the head-to-toe neutrals look because it gives more room to experiment with different makeup looks and bolder lip colors. One thing I love about this look is that it’s very minimalistic and very monochromatic while still being eye catching.
Winter in SoCal is definitely mild, so we can afford to bare a little bit of skin in the colder months. I love the midriff-skimming color-block sweater paired with these open-knee jeans, which are perfect for anybody wanting to hop on the distressed jean trend. I love the little tweaks she made to the jeans by rolling up the hem to show off a little ankle and to highlight her fabulous boots! This is one of my favorite tricks when pairing booties with jeans, especially since I’m a shorter girl. Sometimes tucking in your jeans to booties can shorten your legs, so definitely try out this tip next time you decide to rock some booties with denim that may be a little too loose at the ankles.
Another thing I have to highlight about this look is that I love how minimal she kept her accessories. The fact that she matched the color of metals from her rings to her watch to the metal detailing on her chic booties is also a plus, although I’m not necessarily opposed to mixing metals, this just worked and deserves a 10 out of 10. I’m a big fan of rings, especially dainty charm rings, which are definitely making an appearance in the world of accessories. The bag for me was also a big focal point of the look. I love how she mixed the boho crossbody with the rest of her edgy outfit.
Her outfit is perfect for day-to-day, pictured here, or for a great night out with friends! Just throw on an edgy leather jacket and heels and some dainty earrings and you’d be ready to dance the night away.
