Sadly, Ohio has had a mild winter. One of my favorite things about this state is that we experience each season so dramatically. While some days in mid-January reached sixty degrees, February finally seems to be cooling off. Dressing warm becomes our next task as Fashionistas. Thus, with early mornings on campus, how does a student dress appropriate for the weather without overdoing it?
This Fashionista showed us her style on a cold and early Monday morning! She wore a long olive green coat gently hung open, allowing her to show off her gray knit infinity scarf. It was easy to tie in some tall brown leather boots because of the wooden buttons accenting the scarf. The earthy tones helped highlight her dark features, like her brunette hair and hazel eyes. This outfit can be fitting when the degrees start to drop. While students this semester trudge through the frost and snow, it’s hard to find the motivation to dress trendy when wanting to be prepared for the weather. Using this Fashionista as an inspiration, it’s possible to look good and feel warm!
With a scarf on or a high collar covering your neck, the right move is to always push your hair back or up. Her cute messy up-do did not take away from her scarf but helped draw a little more attention to the accessory. Not only can a scarf tie in another warm layer, but also accessories such as boot socks, colorful stockings, fuzzy hats, and bright gloves. Each gives an outfit that extra boost when it comes to finding the right color coat or shoes to match.
