In February, one might think that a winter coat (depending on where you live) is still essential in dressing for the day. Coming from England, it doesn’t get nearly as cold here as it did when I was back in Wisconsin, which is nice, but you still have to dress for a bit of rain most days. Due to the slightly warmer weather, this Fashionista decided to go for a long sleeve knit in a warm off-white hue accented with skinny black stripes down the body and sleeves of the sweater. The key to the styling of this look was keeping everything simplistic to let the sweater stand out. To pair with the knit, she went with a basic black legging, and tall black leather boots. Not only were leggings a good choice to keep this look cozy, but they also tied in to the black stripes of the knit. The boots she wore lengthened the look of her legs and streamlined the look while still keeping the attention on the sweater.
Accessorizing the look while still maintaining the simplicity of it can be done with a delicate balance. In this Fashionista’s case, she went with one of the most classic, timeless beauty looks of all time. She paired a sleek cat-eye liner and a red lip together, with a slight flush to her cheeks. The red lips add just a touch of contrast to the look, standing out against the off-white knit while still working quite well with the entire look. In terms of jewelry, this Fashionista decided to add a simple silver bar necklace with a delicate chain to her look. Overall, this look would be cute for a brunch date or going shopping with a rad group of friends.
