Time to put away the fur jackets and oversize scarves because it’s finally spring! It’s that time of year again when we are reminded that warm weather does in fact exist as everyone slowly starts to crawl out of hibernation and back into the real world. College campuses across the nation will soon be filled with brighter clothing and happier students, but for now we are stuck between a seasonal transition and will have to find a way to make do.
I spotted one of SUNY Oneonta’s favorite basketball players out and about in the perfect outfit to kick off the spring season. Unfortunately, going to college in upstate New York comes with the sacrifice of feeling like you live in a tundra half the time. So, with two feet of snow taking its dandy time to melt away as we enter April, boots are still very much necessary.
A popular campus trend this season has been loose-fitting shirts with a tapered kimono sleeve, much like this one. Furthermore, the dark tones in her lace-up top complement her dark jeans, while her delicate gold choker and bracelet work together to keep things simple. On the flip side, the gold jewelry pairs perfectly with her neutral Michael Kors bag, sunglasses, and multicolored shirt, giving the whole ensemble a super stylish vibe. I think it’s safe to say an outfit like this has transformed this college baller into a fashion icon off the court!
My final tip to leave you with is that even though patterns are super fun to style, you don’t want to overdo it. Always remember Fashionistas, it’s all in the details!
