I am writing my last post from my semester abroad from the beautiful town of Cinque Terre, Italy. I have just finished my finals and am ready for my next adventure—I am backpacking around Europe this summer and am coming at you with some advice on how to stay stylish with a limited wardrobe. For three months I will be carrying my entire wardrobe on my back, and being a Fashionista means it is difficult for me to sacrifice my look just because I don’t have a ton of options. I have come up with some foolproof ways to make the simplest outfits chic.
This Fashionista has a simple and laid-back style. This weekend she has been running all around town shopping at all the little vintage shops, jewelry stores, and food markets. In fact, she got these mom-style Valentino jeans at a vintage shop close to the city center. That is one great thing about the vintage in Italy, you can find major designer name brands for an amazing price! Paired with a black V-neck shirt, this simple outfit was missing something…
A scarf! While wandering around town, we came across the cutest little stand of scarves, wallets, purses, and jewelry. She spotted this green one with red flowers right away and knew she had to have it. Adding a cute little scarf was all this Fashionista needed to take her Sunday strolling outfit from simple to chic. Also, having a good pair of sandals and a small shoulder bag are essentials for taking on the rough cobblestone streets and keeping your valuables safe from harm, and hers do the trick.
