Concealer is a girl’s best friend. Why? It is every girl’s go-to product to cover acne scars, pimples, and dark circles. However, did you know that concealer could do way more than just to hide your perfect imperfections?
This essential makeup product can be used for many different purposes, such as an eyeshadow primer! I have listed three different tips that you can do to use your concealer to the fullest.
1—Eyebrows. If you don’t have time to get your eyebrows waxed or threaded, then concealer should be a part of your eyebrow routine. It is a good way to cover the hairs, and it helps define the shape of the brows. It will look like you just got your eyebrows done.
2—Highlight and contour. When you are using concealer for highlight and contour, it is so much cheaper than buying a cream contour kit. I use Maybelline New York Fit Me! Concealer ($7) in Light and Medium for the highlight. It’s best to find colors that are one to two shades lighter than your skin tone.
I find that it blends beautifully when I use two colors for the highlight. I use light because it is two shades lighter than my skin tone, and I use medium because it is one shade lighter than my skin tone. Then, I set the highlighted areas with a loose face powder.
For contour, it is best to use a color that is darker than your skin tone. I use Maybelline New York Fit Me! Concealer in Café. I put the contour on my forehead, under my cheekbones, along the bridge of my nose, and along my jawline.
3—Eyeshadow primer. Primer is vital to keep your makeup pigmented and intact for the whole day. It is especially important for the eyes! To use concealer as an eyeshadow primer, you should use a long-lasting concealer like the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Conceal in Light ($9).
To apply the product on the eyelids, brush the product on with a concealer brush. Then, set the concealer with a neutral eyeshadow to create a base for the other eyeshadow colors.
