Hey there fellow Fashionista/os! My name is Emily Danz and I am a freshman in the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, majoring in Marketing. I am very excited for what next semester holds for me and can’t wait to explore the world of fashion at Fordham. My first semester at college opened me up to new styles and helped me discover so many different ways to switch up my wardrobe.
Ever since I was little, I was always known for dressing up in crazy ways for school. When my dad would let me get ready for school on my own, my fashion senses would tingle. Granted, they were not always the best outfits, I loved the idea of dressing myself. For Halloween every year, without fail, I was some sort of princess. I guess you could say I have always been a girly girl. As I have grown, it seems that my fashion senses have developed an alter ego. This other side of me is edgy, outgoing and has a punk-like feel. The color scheme for my alter ego is mostly black. I love being able to go back and forth from a classy girly girl to a rock star with an attitude.
During the summer of 2012, I interned at Theory. This is a high fashion clothing brand. I worked in the e-commerce department focusing on the website and working at photo shoots. This was a great experience and an eye opener into the fashion industry.
I am so eager to get next semester started and see what else the world of fashion at Fordham has to bring!
