Hi Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name is Emily Pensak and I am a student at Elon University in North Carolina, majoring in Strategic Communications and minoring in Professional Sales. This is my first time writing for CollegeFashionista, and I could not be more excited to share my love for fashion with all of you.
Ever since I was old enough to dress myself, I always had an eye for style. If I liked it and it made me feel confident, I wore it. You can almost always find me filling up my online shopping carts on Urban Outfitters and Forever 21 with things I can’t afford, religiously checking Olivia Palermo’s fashion blog, and scrolling through Tumblr to catch up on the latest trends. I truly believe that style is a way to express yourself without having to speak, and I channel my creativity through what I wear.
Living up north and going to college in the south, my style is constantly changing as I adapt to my current environment. One day I will be rocking something simple and feminine, and the next day I will be trying out the latest trend I read about in Vogue.
Black is definitely a staple color in my wardrobe during the winter months, and it really gives any outfit a dressier, more sophisticated look. I also love adding a pop of color to an outfit, which explains why I paired this bubblegum pink sweater with black high-waisted jeans and neutral colored booties, which are a staple for me this season. My fur vest is one of my favorite outfit enhancers, and from H&M, you can’t go wrong with the price! Although a simple look, I believe that simplicity is key in any outfit.
