It’s that time of year in which we can finally relax and enjoy our freedom! Or at least, that’s what we told ourselves would happen in order to maintain sanity during finals week. In reality, winter break is a time which we often feel stretched thin. Between grandma’s house, buying gifts and catching up with family and hometown friends the break can get a little tiring. Oh, the irony.
During the holidays it’s imperative that one can implement both cheer and comfort! During a Sunday brunch with family I caught this Fashionisto eating in style with his folks. Dressed to the nines, yet so uncomplicated. Dressing for the holiday season does not always have to be an elaborate ensemble. The Fashionisto used one of the most simple get-ups known to man and elevated it with trendier pieces. His oxford shirt was fun with it’s subtle print and it made his look versatile. He could take his look from brunch to shopping or hanging out with friends with ease. Literally everyone, male or female, should own a lively button up! He added a pair of basic khakis and gave a normcore spin to the look with his crisp sneakers.
Oxford tops with appeal, like this one or that one, are what gives a Fashionisto the chance to shine without putting that much work into the look. The more fun you have with your top the more eye-catching the outfit will get become.
One Simple Change: A look like this one is not very hard to recreate even with the craziness that comes with the holidays. It’s the basic three piece look that can always be taken an inch further why adding on more layers or accessories. Try a denim jacket or some trendy boots and BAM!
