I remember getting a shamrock green puffer vest from Aeropostale for Christmas in the sixth grade. I wore it for about two seasons before hanging it in my closet, where it stayed for a number of years. When I came to college, however, they came back in style. Now, I can’t walk down the street without seeing a girl wearing one!
The reason I think these vests are so great is because they are a great alternative to coats and can be worn over pretty much anything. You can put it over a sweater, crewneck sweatshirt or Spirit Jersey—probably the most preferred method at UD! They are also available in tons of colors and prints, from stripes to polka-dots. No matter your preferred style, there is a puffer vest out there for you.
This Fashionista does a great job accessorizing her puffer vest. The base of her look is pretty simple—a quilted cream vest, black sweater and distressed skinny jeans. Her black beanie, tall, gray boots and stylish watch make her outfit a lot more interesting. It’s the perfect look for a winter day in Delaware!
If you are going to purchase a puffer vest, you want to spend the money on a nice, quality one. You’re going to want one that will last and will keep you warm in the bitter Northeast winters. The investment will definitely be worth it!
