Ciao my fellow Fashionistas/os! I’m Gabbie Amontree. I am a world-class social media superstar, avid foodie, explorer and amateur photography extraordinaire. I enjoy looking at pretty things, eating cold pizza for breakfast and not taking myself too seriously. However when I have to be “serious,” you can find me studying for my final semester as a Communication student at the University of South Florida at your nearest hip little coffee shop, possibly in a pair of fake reading glasses.
Fashion has always been something I hold in high regard. You’ll never find me wearing a pair of norts or yoga pants unless I’m actually working out at the gym, which is a rare sight in and of itself. What you wear is a way of telling the world who you are and how you view yourself as a fellow inhabitant of this beautiful planet. So every day I take that little bit of time actually required to get ready, turn off the TV, slap a little bit of mascara on my lashes and throw on an cute ensemble. For me, looking put together doesn’t have to take all morning and can still make a world of a difference in the way I feel about myself throughout the day.
My style would best be described as “eclectic glam,” which is also how I would choose to describe my personality. I never expect what kind of style or trend I’ll be into next; I just know that when I see something on the rack or online that it’s got to be mine. From a simple sweater dress to a fur coat to a palm tree covered romper or some retro oxfords, my closet could be used to recreate any period piece movie. My style inspiration and all together life goals come from blogger Bri Emery.
This is my first semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista. I honestly feel there is no better way to spend my last semester than by seeking out my college’s trendiest students, awkwardly approaching them and asking to take their photograph in-between classes! Dress accordingly USF students, because we are about to show the World Wide Web a peak into Florida’s most fashionable students.
