Hi loves! My name is Jordan Fusco and I am a sophomore at Elon University majoring in Strategic Communications. I remember scrolling through the CollegeFashionista webpages when I was in high school, and I am so thankful to be given the opportunity to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team now.
I find myself constantly intrigued by what others are wearing. It is usually the first thing I notice about someone. What draws me into an outfit are often pieces that are either super on-trend or super unique.
At college my style is different than it is when I am home in New Jersey. My style at home is more classic and basic than it is at school. I tend to wear neutral colors and shapes because my mom’s closet is so accessible and filled with great basics. At school, any of my friends could tell you that my style is bohemian. I have concluded that this is because students at Elon are usually quite preppy, so to stand out and be individualistic, I wear what Elon kids wouldn’t normally wear. I try to maintain trends but add a bohemian touch to them. This doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a good J.Crew button-down or a pair of flats. I went to a private high school with a strict dress code that bred many young prepsters with awesome style.
My style icons include Stevie Nicks and bohemian Miley. Most of my style inspiration comes from YouTube Style Gurus, Pinterest, Free People, my mom and my friends. No matter what articles of clothing I am wearing, you will almost always notice me wearing a fun pair of earrings. To me, earrings are the icing on top of a stellar outfit. They pull a look together and prove what direction you are going with it. Aside from earrings, floral patterns, lace, crochet, fringe, layers, lipstick and thick headbands are some of my other favorite things!
Elon’s student body is comprised of a mixed bag of people and styles, and I can’t wait for you guys to see the outfits and trends I notice around my campus.
