Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Leeann Sanders and I’m a junior at Anderson University. I’m majoring in Public Relations, minoring in Marketing and I am so excited to be back for my second semester as a Style Guru!
I learned so much from my first semester as a Style Guru, but even more than that, I got to become a part of a family that adores impeccable style and trends just like I do! It’s so inspiring to see the amazing things that Style Gurus accomplish. I love being able to see the variety of styles across campuses all over the country and can’t wait for this semester to begin!
Rachel Zoe said it best: “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.” This amazingly talented stylist couldn’t be more correct. Our style is so much more than what we throw on in a rush to our 8 a.m. classes. It’s our voice, and it’s how we tell the world who we really are. That has to be my favorite thing about fashion. It’s an art form all of its own. It’s inspiring to see how putting together an outfit can represent who you are in the most beautiful way.
My style is always a combination of edgy and girly. I love the juxtaposition of the two, and love how they look paired together! I have a soft spot for lace, glitter and pastels. I also love a good edgy piece thrown in as well. Studded jackets, combat boots and sleek leather leggings have been a couple of my favorite edgier pieces this season. Adding an unlikely accessory is one of the best ways to make an outfit all your own and really show off your personality. I love putting girly and edgy pieces to create a style that’s all my own!
When I’m not sitting in class, you can find me walking all over campus in black, coffee in one hand, phone in the other. I’m most likely stalking fashion bloggers on Instagram, catching up on CollegeFashionista articles and watching make-up tutorials on YouTube!
I cannot wait for this semester and to show off the amazing outfits that I find on campus. Our school is known for giving an impeccable education to its students; let’s show them that our students are not only bright, but stylish as well! Keep an eye out for my articles every Friday!
