Hello fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos! My name’s Melissa and I’m a junior at Syracuse University studying Public Relations and Music Industry. I’m now embarking on my third semester with CollegeFashionista. I’m blown away to be writing my third STYLE GURU BIO; so much, yet so little has changed in the course of the past year. I’ve learned so much about style and fashion, but mostly about how to lead a rad life. From entering the fashion world to translating my favorite designers’ looks from the runway to campus, being a Style Guru has been nothing short of amazing.
This past year I’ve gotten to explore fashion and meet so many fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos that taught me the importance of having your own style and rocking it with confidence. Fashion allows us to tell a story about ourselves and how we feel that day. I am excited by the prospect of dressing up in the morning, because I know the impact it has on my day. Fashion, music, films and the like all help us express ourselves in this wild, wild world.
In this new year, join me in getting inspired by the bright colors, classic silhouettes or even things that you’ve never tried before (tartan dresses anyone?). I can’t wait to see all the great looks you’ll be wearing while leading your fabulous and rad lives. Rest assured I’ll be capturing amazing outfits straight from Syracuse University’s campus every Friday to keep you inspired this semester.
