Hey, Fashionista/os! This is my first semester writing for CollegeFashionista. I’m a Fashion Merchandising major at LIM College in New York.
From New York Fashion Week, to sample sales for the latest designers, New York is the center of fashion. Home to some of the most fashionable and multicultural people and amazing art galleries, you are bound to find something that inspires you. Even when you go to different neighborhoods like SoHo or the Madison Ave area, you are going to find a look that gives you life!
Fashion is a major part of my life. It allows me to be creative, and it gives me an outlet to express myself. I get inspiration from everywhere. From listening to my favorite song, to reading style blogs like fashionbombdaily.com or even men’s fashion, I take these things and create a style of my own. Thrifting is also a major part of my style. I love going to a thrift store and finding amazing treasures. You never know what you’ll find at a thrift store, so there’s always an element of surprise when you go.
I’m very excited to be writing for CollegeFashionista. I want to give a different perspective on fashion in the Big Apple. The students that go to LIM College have superb fashion sense, and I can’t wait to share it with you guys.
