Hello again Fashionista/os! My name is Sagari and this is my third semester writing for CollegeFashionista. I’m so lucky to have gotten the opportunity to write for such an amazing fashion medium and I’m a little too excited to share my fashion insights with you!
For starters, I’m a senior at the University of Maryland, College Park and I’m majoring in communication on a public relations track. I’ve spent a lot of time hopping between majors and figuring out what I like. It’s safe to say I’ve found a major and a department I can call home. Though I’m not quite sure what I want to do with my degree yet, I can confidently tell you that I want to work in the fashion industry and most definitely do not want a nine to five desk job (this semester has taught me that the hard way).
When it comes to my taste in style and all things sartorial, I staunchly believe in the statement “less is more.” I think that you can say a lot about yourself with one bold item. Whether that be an accessory, one standout top or bottom or a unique beauty trend. Overdone is overdone, in my opinion.
I’m a die-hard follower of the news and popular culture. My style icons are Lauren Conrad, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Kate Middleton. Like me, they choose the most minimalistic and laid back approaches to style, but still slay at every event or appearance they make.
During a previous semester as a Style Guru, I had the privilege of writing for the WHAT TO WEAR section. This semester I am extremely excited to be covering all of the wonderful categories at CollegeFashionista. I can’t wait to discover all of the fashion enthusiasts on my campus.
