The Lanvin spring 15 show featured an abundance of flowy dresses and neutral fabrics. The models floated down the stage in an ethereal manner with the dresses perfectly framing their faces and hanging off of their bodies. The dresses were billowing silk slips with low and high neck cuts in every neutral color imaginable. The show acted as a reminder for many of how simplicity can often come off looking extremely elegant. It paid homage to women of the working world who ‘couldn’t care less.’
I took so much inspiration from this show and since I was already obsessed with neutral colors, adding a few T-shirt dresses to was my closet came easily. I found myself adding more and more solid-colored T-shirt and sweater dresses to my collection of dresses and have loved wearing them lately. Since it is winter in New York, I did my best to try creating some winter appropriate looks inspired from the show. I found that pairing a T-shirt dress with a pair of thigh high boots was something that I could wear while still achieving the overall flow and simplicity of the dresses in the Lanvin show. In this particular outfit, I added a dark red lipstick to add some contrast to light gray dress. Over top of the dress I wore a simple black coat with a hood to keep warm.
Get My Look: 1. A long sleeve gray sweater dress. 2. Thigh high boots. 3. A dark red lipstick.
