If you are a big Gossip Girl fan and a dedicated member of Team Blair, Ida Sjöstedt’s collection will make you swoon with its Waldorf-esque qualities. This season, Ida Sjöstedt’s Stockholm fall 2015 collection stole the runway with its feminine flair and preppy edge. Filled with polka-dots, chiffon and bows, the collection channels everything that we know and love about Ida Sjöstedt. The collection mixes a variety of textures and prints, ranging from florals in silk to cheetah print in fur. Sequins and sashes also make their way into this gorgeous collection.
Harnessing Sjöstedt’s girly vibe, I took to the streets in my runway-inspired style. One major motif that I found in Sjöstedt’s collection was polka-dots. I implemented the polka-dots in my black fit and flair skirt. To tie in the sheer look of this collection, I wore my off white sheer button-down. As a nod to the styling in the show, I buttoned my blouse up all the way, adding a preppy neckline to my look. To add a bit of protection from the winter’s cool temperatures, I added sheer black tights and black heeled booties to my look. Finally, to finish off my outfit I added two subtle accessories. The first accessory was a pink heart ring that made me feel a bit more feminine and added a touch of pink to my look. For earrings, I wore bold diamond earrings to give my outfit an added sparkle.
