The blend that has occurred between comfort and style has really created some innovative and wearable products in modern day fashion. Personally, I have been known to suffer for fashion. That is why I am so happy to be seeing comfortable pieces that I can incorporate into my wardrobe that aren’t leggings. Soft pants also known as joggers are really the best of both worlds. They come in a variety of colors, patterns, prints, silhouettes and price points. They offer necessary breeziness in summer and can be layered to stay warm in the winter. Without a doubt my soft pants are the most fun and versatile piece of clothing in my closet. I pair them with a simple tank at night, a sweater and fur vest for class or a simple T-shirt when lounging around. What really sold me on this particular pair was the bold print. I tend to shy away from patterns this loud. However, after looking at Temperley London’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear runway show, it is obvious that bold prints are right on trend.
The show was studded with loud patterns, unstructured pants and matching tops. The line showed a very fun and exploratory way to dress for spring. The patterns ranged from abstract to geometric. While most spring lines use stereotypical pastels, and subtle designs, I like that Temperley London challenged the usual spring uniform and brought about a bold new way to dress.
The bright pant is such a statement. It is best to either pair them with an exact matching top for a dramatic look. Another more casual way to style the trend is with a basic subdued blouse.
Get My Look: 1. A patterned soft pant. 2. A chambray shirt. 3. A dainty necklace.
