This week was seriously cold for those of us at SUNY Geneseo. The frigid temperatures have been accompanied by frequent snowfall. The weather makes it extremely hard to muster the motivation to get out of bed in the morning and face the outdoors. However, in this part of the country, school does not stop for any blizzard. Homework and studying continues, which makes the library an absolute necessity.
This Fashionista braved icy conditions and headed across campus to get some work done. Her outfit is practical enough to keep her warm but also shows some great style. She wears a faux fur trimmed parka in army green, which fits right into the current military trend. The gold detailing on her coat matches perfectly with the gold zipper and buckle on her knee-high black boots. The black leather of these boots adds a polished feel to the outfit, making this Fashionista look extra chic. These are the type of boots that go with everything, and can easily be dressed up or down depending on your destination. This Fashionista went for comfort by pairing them with a simple pair of black leggings, which is perfect for an afternoon study session. Finally, she accessorized with a brown patterned scarf and added a bright pop of color with her blue backpack.
Unfortunately, winter is far from over and one way to combat the conditions is by mixing up your winter wardrobe. This Fashionista proves that style does not need to be sacrificed because of cold weather!
One Simple Change: After a few hours in the library, a girl deserves some time with her friends. Make this look perfect for a girl’s night out by swapping the bright backpack for an equally vivid blue purse. Try to stick with a cross-body bag, because let’s face it, there is ice everywhere and you need your hands free in case you fall. Trust me on this.
