About an hour or so ago, you could have quoted me when I said that I wished I could just roll out of bed for my 8:30 a.m. class and then get dressed for the day after it was over. Wishful thinking, but it’s a fact: it is safe to say that I have never worn sweatpants outside of my apartment. Ever. Regardless of how early the class. Usually, however, on early mornings I do have tendency to be delayed and throw on something with not too much thought. Most of the time, I end up going back to my room and somewhat tweaking my outfit for the rest of the day. Today, being my first 8:30 a.m. class of the semester, I was quick to notice not only new faces, but also this Fashionista who embodied a look that I really appreciated, especially considering the time and condition outside. Her look inspired me to dress in a similar and minimal manner for these early classes.
For me, one of my favorite essentials on rushed mornings is a pair of Converse high-tops. Although I am just beginning to feel comfortable with the “Nike Air and jeans” combination, the substitute of the high-top sneakers are a sneaky way to pull off a similar look. This Fashionista definitely incorporated her pair of All Stars into her outfit by keeping her look simple with a pair of dark wash jeans. To match, she wore a red and white sweater in which reflected the colors within her Converse.
Lastly, the final accessory, her scarf, topped off this Fashionista’s look. What really brought even more life to her outfit was the contrast between the pattern of her scarf with the pattern of her sweater.
One Simple Change: Are you like me and feel the need to change up your look after an early morning? Transition this outfit for something appropriate to go out with friends by adding a black leather jacket.
