Camel colored coats are popping up everywhere, yet somehow I still don’t have one. I stopped this Fashionista on her way to the library out of pure jealousy. A trend like this is so sweet that I think the color should be changed to “caramel,” but that’s just one person’s opinion.
The hardware on this Fashionista’s shoes tie in nicely with her coat and the rest of her ensemble. The gold zipper on her coat nicely matches the gold buckle on her chelsea boots, subtly connecting her black accessories to her camel outerwear. Since the focus is undoubtedly on her coat, the rest of the outfit is kept simple. She’s also headed to the library, so she considers comfort and wears jeans. Finally, she wears a fun scarf to play up, and further emphasize, her solids. This Fashionista is stylish but minimal. She’s trendy but keeps to classic cuts and timeless styles. The trend of the moment is versatile, which makes it a good staple item to own.
Investing in a camel coat seems to be the thing to do this season. It’s making a statement, without compromising everything on a trend that will be forgotten by this time next year. Also, camel seems to comprise a wide range of colors. It’s more like a family of colors, rather than one specific Pantone approved shade. So why not call it “caramel?” Who doesn’t want a coat so good that you could eat it? I want one! I hope this Fashionista doesn’t mind if I buy the same one…
