Layering up in the cold weather seems to be common knowledge by now…especially to all of us currently living in endless feet of snow. It is also common knowledge that there really aren’t any rules regarding fashion. Whether you are bold and daring or simple and minimal or anywhere in between, when styled respectfully fashion is fashion regardless. The Fashionista I found? Well she had a perfect little mix of it all.
I saw this Fashionista on her way to her dance lesson, but she looked as if she had just stepped out of a catalogue for Urban Outfitters. Mixing prints and textures, she rocks a black and white striped turtleneck along with an undeniably cozy oversized cardigan. Matched with some high-waisted pants and some rad boots from Topshop, this Fashionista was killing the streets of Lincoln Park. Her thick textured cardigan stole the light of the ensemble and brings the perfect amount of hue to perfectly contrast the black and white.
Now let’s talk comfortably functional. I always love an outfit that screams comfort but also speaks style. Besides perhaps a simple black shoulder bag, this outfit is touched to completion. Her play of texture along with prints and patterns is spot on, and her simple black denim and trendy buckle boots complete the marriage of this look while speaking a style that is unique to her.
