Saint Laurent’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear show had me thinking I was time traveling to the ’70s. A fierce production of style and funky sophistication was stated through the different textures, patterns, and far-out colors used in each of the models looks. Each look had a different dynamic, some fabulous in fur while others were edged out in camo. The show was nothing less than funky perfection and I couldn’t wait to try and mesh the look into my everyday college style. The camo print used in some of the looks stood out to me the most; being one of those prints that has the power to add a slight playfulness to any look.
I am a bona-fide blazer lover, but sometimes it is hard to make a blazer casual for an everyday class look. This camo tank-top was the perfect bottom layer to add a sense of comfort, as well as a stand-out statement. These moto-chic denim pants give the look a cool contrast, having the cream blazer on top to still give it that level of sophistication that is perfect for class or a presentation. A very ’70s look with a little bit of a modern influence!
When I think of Saint Laurent, I cannot help but fantasize over their incredible boots. Although the college budget doesn’t allow for a set of those babies too reside in my closet, these Target buckled booties have sufficed and I cannot stop wearing them. They help add a little bit of flair to an otherwise simplistic outfit, as well as give a slight touch of edge. When I have a full day of classes and meetings, I like to keep my look simple with various little statements to complement it. Playing around with some prints will be sure to give you a simple twist in any ensemble.
