When I think of Zuhair Murad, I immediately begin dreaming of impeccably gorgeous gowns, perfectly fitted feminine silhouettes, beautiful textures and stunning color palettes. Undoubtedly, if I were to be able to afford a couture gown of any sort, I’d be turning to this designer without a second thought. Zuhair Murad’s knockout work was no exception to the designer’s spring 2015 couture show. There aren’t enough words to express how much I’m in love with this collection. Gorgeous baby blue hues mixed with elegant whites, soft pinks, light taupe and yellow created an air of edgy sophistication and are of the perfect palette to complement each and every piece. Zuhair is an expert in taking classic, timeless silhouettes and transforming them into pieces that are modern, sexy and ultimately jaw-dropping.
I fell completely in love with this look inspired by the show. To incorporate the elegant and glamorous mood of Murad’s spring 2015 couture show, I chose to stick with some of my favorite hues from the collection. I chose to wear an ivory chiffon mini dress as the base of my outfit. This flowy piece embodied Zuhair Murad’s spring 2015 couture collection’s glamorous feel, while the length of the dress transformed the feel from evening gown to casual ready to wear. A white and baby blue marbled jacket thrown on top of the dress serves two functions. First, it re-emphasizes the soft color palette inspired by Zuhair, as well as the designer’s play with texture. Secondly, the jacket’s masculine structure perfectly incorporates my own style by juxtaposing itself against my chiffon mini dress. Simply accessorized with a black leather triple-wrap belt around my waist, black heeled ankle booties and my staple black leather Steve Madden handbag, I reflected my personal style by adding a little edge to the outfit’s feminine shape.
Per usual, Zuhair Murad is one of the most influential designers when it comes to styling my everyday ensembles. I’m more and more impressed with each new collection, and the designer’s take on feminine silhouettes will continue to inspire me on a regular basis.
