The weekend—it’s here to be enjoyed. The weekend to all college Fashionistas/os is sacred. We are either plagued with homework or too much free time, and we don’t know what to do with it. Whichever it may be, comfort and style is important in our outfit choices. I caught this Fashionista on her lunch break, ready to sit down and enjoy a meal before a load of work ahead of her.
This Fashionista is ready for a relaxing weekend—a weekend where she doesn’t have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction. She is wearing comfortable black leggings that are quite popular with Fashionistas around campus. Leggings are a great go-to for any occasion such as a study session or running errands. Her cute, gold-studded denim vest adds a pop of color and a different texture to the outfit. Denim vests and jackets are an inescapable trend. A new denim trend pops up every season, and vests and jackets seem to be a favorite on campus, ranging from light wash to dark wash. Since it is winter these days, this Fashionista layers a gray hoodie underneath the vest. Another favorite trend is comfortable sneakers ranging from classic Nikes to colorful New Balance shoes. The high-top sneakers are the perfect laid back shoe to complete this outfit.
One Simple Change: This denim vest can be used for spring season. It could be paired with a flowy bohemian dress or a darling flare skirt. Instead of high-top sneakers, espadrilles are a comfortable and cute alternative.
