WHAT TO WEAR: Greek Life

Greek women are constantly darting across campus as they run from chapter meetings in the student pavilion to Starbucks to Panhellenic meetings downstairs to Mr. University or other philanthropy events and back to Starbucks. My brain doesn’t comprehend the fact that they can conquer all of the events Greek life throws their way, balance the school workload, maintain their social life and look absolutely fabulous all at the same time. I know we’re all wondering the same thing, “How do they do it?” I couldn’t have been luckier to catch this Greek Fashionista on campus as she left the library on her way to a chapter meeting.

Business casual—nobody really knows what that implies (am I right? Or am I right?), but the open-ended attire is required for this Fashionista’s weekly meetings because Greek women are professional and ready for anything to come their way. This Fashionista shows us exactly how to pull the look off with her daring move to sport a bold color on campus. The amaranth pink dress is an invigorating color and the detailed lace flowers covering it, along with flowing sheer sleeves, are perfect for sunny days in San Diego.

For accessories, this Fashionista decided to stick to earthy hues with her rich brown belt and golden wedges, which are a fresh approach to the happy color. She also mixed her silver and gold rings and bracelets, and continued to enhance her jewelry game with a pop of turquoise. I adore how this Fashionista also added more edge to her look by throwing on a red lip, complementing the refreshing pink dress.

Let’s celebrate our sartorial sisters, like this Fashionista, and give them more credit for not only giving us closet inspiration, but for giving life to our campuses.

One Simple Change: To turn this elegant look into more of a casual outfit for a day of classes or brunch with girlfriends, slip into strappy sandals and remove the belt so that the dress can flow and move with your easy day.
