With New York Fashion Week a few weeks gone, we are left in the wake of pieces that are tasteful yet iconic. I tend to stick with neutrals and stay away from the bold colors that many girls wear. However, I absolutely love many of the looks from J.W. Anderson‘s fall 2015 ready-to-wear collection. The collection was ’70s-inspired with bold prints, popping colors and lots of daring leather. Another collection that is jaw dropping is Tom Ford’s fall collection that consists of fur coats, knee-length skirts and leather boots. Both collections offer chic outfits that anyone can turn into their own.
I chose both Tom Ford and J.W. Anderson’s collections to inspire my look. Leather and fur has been a staple this season and can be seen on and off the runways. I took the ’70s inspiration from J.W. Anderson and transferred it to a black, patterned dress. The bold fabric and the tied belt add to the overall look and feel of this ’70s-inspired look. To bring in Tom Ford’s collection, I wore a vintage fur coat over my dress and paired it all with black tights and booties.
These fall shows inspired me to throw it back a few decades and embrace clothing items that I might not feel the most comfortable in. Bold colors aren’t really my thing, but this look is fun and risky and I am excited to hit the streets with this ’70s-inspired look.
Get My Look: 1. An oversized fur coat. 2. A fun and bold patterned dress. 3. A pair of little black booties.
