The cold winter weather and the melting slush on every corner sometimes have an impeccable ability to cause people to dress as dreary as the colors they see outside: dark grays, blues and blacks. With this late winter coming on full force, it looks like it’s here to stay for the long run, making everyone extra antsy for the spring break sunshine. However, just because winter is barreling over into our spring doesn’t mean we have to dress like it! Each season, Pantone announces the new “it” colors. This season’s color report is described as more toned down, an added eclectic feel and some major pale pastels. Spring 2015 colors create a time for an escape from the everyday hustle bustle and add a calming sense of wellbeing.
This Fashionista does the perfect job with not only portraying one new spring color but two! The colors she put together from her winter coat and backpack was what made me really notice it in the first place—I think I even told her that she looked like Easter! Her pink pastel coat can make anyone a little happier in the wintertime while also keeping her extra warm. The blue of her KORS Michael Kors backpack seems to match almost perfectly with Pantone’s “Placid Blue.”
The shape of her coat and the colors of her ensemble add the perfect bright and girly touch to the snow. You can never go wrong with a knit scarf to keep your neck warm against the high wind speeds. I’m definitely going to try and incorporate this season’s top color trends into my looks!
