Readers: if Chanel’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection doesn’t get you excited about the warmer months to come, I don’t know what will! After being snowed in my dorm-sized igloo and bundling up in my winter best, the splashes of warm watercolors on neatly pressed shirts and skirts gave my Eskimo self some hope for summer and brighter days. Amidst the subtle darker toned pieces of the collection, the electric neon ensembles serve as an eye-catching pop! Feeling inspired, I decided I wanted to give my next outfit a little “pop” of my own.
Among the birthday presents I was fortunate enough to open the morning of my 19th birthday this past weekend, Vera Bradley’s 25th Anniversary limited edition beaded kiss lock purse was the one I was probably most ecstatic about! It is the perfect little bag one can hang on her wrist with a little black dress on a night out, or even with jeans for a more casual daytime look. For this specific look, I chose to sport my one of a kind purse during the day on campus. This was just the right “pop!” I knew I could incorporate into my wardrobe after viewing the Chanel collection.
This collective purse is embroidered with several colors of delicate pieces of thread. Relating back to the neon pieces seen in the Chanel collection, the different shapes and sizes of the embroidered flowers on my bag are eye-catching in their own unique way. The purse is fastened by a kiss lock seal and a tiny silver chain to hold onto. Whether I want to use this purse for a special evening out or a stroll around town with my gal pals, this purse serves as a bold statement day or night!
Get My Look:Â 1. A short sleeve kimono (in my case, ankle length). 2. A unique Vera Bradley purse. 3. A pair of ripped jeans.
