It’s finally here! The weather is getting warmer, the sun is out for longer and the snow has melted. Spring has come. You know what that means? Time to take the dresses in your closet out of hibernation. What better way to style a dress or get inspiration for the whole spring season than checking out Cynthia Rowley’s spring 2015 ready-to-wear collection? Ms. Rowley has always designed amazing dresses and skirts for the spring season. In her collection this year, she played with a larger silhouette and fun ’60s cut pants. You will also notice that she used very minimal colors and patterns—keeping her collection simple and chic.
I created an outfit to exemplify what she did on the runway. I let my dress be the focal point of my outfit. I chose an empire-cut dress with only a pop of baby pink for color. Although the weather is getting better, it can sometimes be a little chilly. I slipped on a pair of knee-high socks to give my outfit some warmth. To incorporate the oversized aspect of Cynthia Rowley’s collection, I topped off my outfit with a light anorak. I finished my outfit with a pair of chunky-heeled booties. Not only are they comfy to walk in, but Ms. Rowley’s collection is filled with big chunky heels.
There are so many ways to transition from winter to spring, and Cynthia Rowley’s collection is only one of them! The changing of seasons is the best way to express your unique style.
