Do you all remember when ankle boots were the on-trend boot to wear? I’m just kidding, of course you do remember because they still kind of are. “Kind of” is the key part though because currently the over-the-knee boot is giving them a run for their money. I know I will definitely not completely surrender my ankle booties just yet, but I think I can make room for this super chic new boot. These boots are almost as long as your leg; what could be cooler?
The over-the-knee boot craze has already started around campus. This Fashionista was spotted pulling off this trend to a tee. Her boots are just barely above her knee and have a fun cheetah print. With a boot like this, you need to either pair it with a skinny leg pant or legging. She paired hers with a black legging. Honestly, with a boot like the one she is wearing, you can keep a super simplistic look because the boots are what make the outfit.
To add even more to it, this Fashionista wore this green with envy trench coat. I love the trench coat look because it reminds me of almost an old Hollywood vibe I guess you can call it. This could be because of the trench coat Audrey Hepburn wears in the last scene of Breakfast At Tiffany’s. I don’t know about you, but I like to pretend I am Holly Golightly running around in the rain looking for her cat and ultimately falling into the arms of Paul Varjack.
So give your ankle booties a break this week and try out this new boot trend. Another way to rock these boots are to pair them with a whimsical dress and a too-cool-for-school leather jacket. These boots are so versatile and definitely are a must-add to your wardrobe!
