Recently, I stumbled upon Mugler’s pre-fall 2015 fashion show. I was instantly intrigued by this amazing leather pantsuit and all the sexy detailed cutouts. Leather can be quite manly and overly structured if done wrong. Mugler did everything right with this collection; somehow even a double-breasted knee length coat in full leather still looks feminine. I have to say I was surprised to say the least, as I have not previously followed Mugler’s fashion. I was only in the know of his fragrances (yes, I had an Angel phase). This collection sparked my inner bad ass and left me wishing for a leather mini dress.
I have been dying for a pair of decent quality pleather leggings at a reasonable price, a much more difficult task than one would think. Pleather leggings have been a recent fashion staple. I love the mature, chic look they give to an everyday outfit. I finally gave into a pair from Target, that was exactly what I was looking for! I’ve only worn them a few times, so I’m hoping they can withstand some wear and tear. However they have look great, have back pockets and are perfect for a college budget.
This look was inspired by an old Mary-Kate Olsen outfit of her sporting her boyfriend’s button-down. I had this top laying in my closet unsure what to pair it with for a while. Once the leather leggings were in my life there was no doubt about the combination of the two. I love the minimal vibe of this outfit, it was comfortable and yet I felt strangely confident.
Get My Look:Â 1. Leather leggings. 2. Large bag. 3. Oversized men’s shirt.
