Technically, spring has arrived, but here at Marist College, it feels more like winter. Fashionistas all over are dying to pack up their winter clothes and wear their favorite spring outfits. One of the best ways to slowly transition into spring without freezing while walking on campus is by wearing brighter colors and prints.
This Fashionista kept warm by still wearing a long sleeve shirt and jeans, but she is wearing brighter colors to transition into spring. The light blue pinstripe shirt will keep her warm in the cold temperatures but brings a fun and bright feeling to the outfit. Her bright colored necklace also brings an exciting and springy feel while adding more pops of color.
Boyfriend jeans are becoming more and more popular on campus and are the perfect spring pants. Paired with flats, low booties or sandals, they can be the perfect transitional piece to wear in the spring. I love how this Fashionista matched her watch, flats and bag to each other. They flow nicely together and complement the colors of her jeans, necklace and shirt.
Transitioning into warmer weather after a long winter can be very exciting. Make sure you show how ready you are for summer by wearing brighter colors!
How To: Are you ready to break out into spring clothing, but it’s still too cold? Don’t worry. Bring out some of your warmer clothing in brighter colors. You will still be warm walking to class while adding a pop of color to the dull cold days.
